When the announcement was made on Sunday night that the NZB Standardbred National Yearling Sales were postponed due to New Zealand's Covid situation the Arden Lodge draft had just settled in to the Canterbury Agricultural Park ready for the three day sale. Rather than have the 12 yearlings transported all the way home again we were very happy to accept offers of help that came from the wonderful harness racing industry community. Thanks to Cran and Chrissy Dalgety the yearlings are now very comfortable in their lodgings at Kentuckiana Lodge. Cran has provided transport, a purpose-built yearling barn and paddock space for each yearling.
Jonathan McNeil has ensured that the yearlings continue to thrive on Prydes Easifeed by delivering food and hay to the Dalgety's.
Following a very positive sale at Karaka on Sunday we are looking forward to that confidence continuing at the Christchurch Sales when they commence on Monday the 22nd to Wednesday 24th February.
